It was such an interesting way to paint and talk. The purpose of the session had already been worked out in the past and had proven its value many times over. I understood that our paintings made during the session would be translated easily in the future, this added a lightness and clarity to our conversations, a familiarity with what painting is and what talking is. My favorite part was that painting as a solitary and self directed act was allowed to have a friend.
